For Yom Hashoah my grade 6 Ivrit class learned the story – “Grandpas’ third desk drawer” which talked about a locked drawer where grandpa keeps his past (bad) memories from the Holocaust. My students were asked to create 3 drawers : one drawer with things that makes them happy. Second drawer of things that makes feel better when they are sad or stressed and the third drawer of things that make them sad. Here is Maya’s beautiful creation:
